My boys built an indoor clubhouse today, staying occupied for hours. At one point they emerged from their play room with a status report.
"Mom," asked Adam, "want to know the name of our club?"
"Of course," I said.
"It’s the Mythical World of Frankenstein and Randy Johnson," he said proudly. "And we all work at Kinko’s."
I chuckled to myself as I was reminded, once again, that mothering these little characters is the best job in the world.
did you even ASK what that meant? or even better… you undertood!
I love how specific that was. Perfect!
How funny…I love these moments! I just posted one of those “out of the mouths of babes” on my blog…my 6yo. boy can say the funniest things!
Blessings, Rossie
I wish I worked at Kinko’s! That place has the greatest toys for people who love computers and graphics.
Too funny! I’ll never forget the time the little neighbor kid told us what he wanted to be when he grew up. (CILCO is the name of our electric/gas company.) He said that he wanted to be the CILCO bill! LMAO!
absolutely adorable. how do they feel about the kinko’s/fedex merger?
Well, at least they’re being diverse and creative! Gotta love that! This made me smile!
Why do we have to grow up!
Building forts in the living room is one of my fondest memories of childhood. Very cute story.
Too funny. I love young minds. My kids (12 & 14) still say some of the funniest things!
I love the creative genius that all kids are! I’m glad that you were privy to the the club… Did they make you an honorary member?
When my nephew was 3, he always talked about how he wished he worked at Costco. I love what they think are the coolest professions in the world…
I loved the little camps my kids made when they were little. Mine were a little less industrious, choosing jobs like Spiderman, Princess and Cook.
I always wanted to be “a teacher and a Mommy”. Still do, actually. Although, I already AM a teacher..
The best is right…..
Sounds like the title of a pre-teen novel.
Today, I am sure that your kids are as nuts as Kathryn’s kids over at DYM. š Isn’t it so fun!
ROFLOL
I don’t care who you are.. that’s just FUNNY! š
LOL..too cute!!
That may be the best thing I’ve ever heard.
Well done, guys.
That’s cute! My son is in a secret “boys only” club on the school playground : )
I LOVE This. It begs so many questions, not the least of which is WHO is Randy Johnson? I remember forts in the living room. Such fun. My oldest just said to her brother – “Move! The remote control can’t see the t.v.!” They still make me smile. Stay warm!

that is the most genius funny thing ever. I hope my babies make me laugh as much as this did!
