My favorite comic.  This bit cracks me up.  And no it’s not *that* finger; you’re safe to click.

New site for inspirational, original short films.  Each film costs $.99.  Some really excellent stuff there.

Brian Regan! He’s the only comic that I really find super funny. I think my favorite sketch is “Take… Luck…” If you don’t know what I’m referring to, you have to look it up!
And… Google added Malawi! Too bad I can’t pinpoint the places I’ve been closely enough 😦

I’ve done the fish thing. In Japan. Everyone around me kept getting irritated because I would manage to be still for a while, but then get completely freaked out, violently shake my feet, and scare all the fish away from our area of the pool. But try as I might to be mature…it was just so….EWW.

All I can think about is “Those poor fish have to eat the nasty skin off of people’s feet???” Gross. And I don’t think I would be able to sit still through that…and I definitely wouldn’t pay money for that either. But, then again, I am a low maintenance sort of gal and don’t get pedicures anyway 🙂

So, if I were to refer to you as “Individual”, you’d totally get it.
Off to click some links now. And then make apple crisp, but that’s neither here nor there.

Carp pedicures were one of our discussions in the teachers’ lounge this week. Most of us decided it sounded disgusting. I just wanted to stop by and tell you I saw your story in the fall Compassion magazine! My husband and I have a child in Indonesia that we sponsor.

My husband and I had a Brian Regan YouTube date last night. He is hands down our favorite.
His take on Pop Tarts, and honestly pretty much everything else, is the best.
Off to check out all the goodies…

The fish- I read about this a while back and kept waiting for some animal rights group to stop it. Or the health dept. (I love the health inspector, by the way. He’s like the FBI to a germ freak.)
I so needed the free shipping site! I am living on the moon. ;>)

Oh crud – the carp pedicure sounds just nasty – I have kept fish before in aquariums and it is not a super sanitary thing – I mean they make pedicurists sterlize their tools and equipment – but FISH MOUTHS? just a big ewww to me.

Carp pedicure? I would totally pass out. One time I got a pedicure and they pulled out this sharp razor thingy and I almost passed out then, so I can only imagine with the fish thing. I may have bad dreams tonight.
Thanks for the free shipping link. That is awesome!
    Have a great weekend,

Oh, um…GROSS! Ewww! I am a visual person and just picturing a Carp Pedi – is gross. Plus, I happen to have an overwhelming disgust with feet. HA!
Oh, I just love your blog. So, I wanted to give you a little award. Head on over to my place to pick it up!
Now, I have to go check out the linkage.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO…I cannot state strongly enough how much the thought of carp nibbling anything on my person grosses me out. This story was on our local news last night and I could hardly watch it, while my husband thought it was highly entertaining and I totally think he would do it 🙂

I saw a piece on carp pedicures (in my own stomping grounds, too!) on Good Morning America, and almost died of laughter, but Diane Sawyer was having one done, and said it was tickle-y and “nice.”
    Odd, if you ask me.

  13. Phyllis@Aimless Conversation says:

I tweeted about the fish pedi some time ago. Got some pretty strong responses (no, gross, no way, etc.)
Although I am intrigued and I love a good pedicure, I would probably not do it. On the other hand, my husband would try it “just once for the experience.” LOL

  14. Jennifer says:

me again…yesterday, I was actually pullin for them razorbacks…I couldnt think of a better team for them to beat…well except for TN, of course…ROLL TIDE!!

  15. Melissa says:

Carp pedicure? When my family was living in Africa when i was little we used to go camping by a river and we’d play with bars of soap and little fish would come nibble on the soap and our feet in the water. It really tickled! I didn’t know we were getting pedicures! =)

My husband has had two “doctor fish” pedicures in Japan. Both times, it completely cured two instances of a bad cases of athlete’s foot in one session, once last year and then once this year. He highly recommends it to anyone with problematic feet.
