My six-year-old son made this drawing for my parents:
If you can't read it, it says, "Dear Mimi and Pop, We love you guys so much and we will never hate you guys. I love you alot."
Then, for emphasis, he taped a beat-up old eraser next to it. Because, you know, nothing says "we will never hate you" like a beat-up old eraser.
Warms the heart, doesn't it?
Absolutely, it does. Reminds me of the I-might-be-geriatric thank you note of my husband’s I posted recently. Thanks for the laugh!
You made me smile tonight! He’s a natural!
feeling all warm and fuzzy…sort of like that eraser..
Too funny!
Oh, I’m glad you reposted that! Really gave me a giggle.
aww!!
Thanks for the laugh. Love it.
That is hilarious….made me laugh right out loud….thanks for the laugh!

Oh! That reminds me!
My 7YO gave me a note for Christmas, written as a poem.
“Yes!”
“My family is the best!”
And he accidentally typed “best” with an “a” in it.
Best, beast, whatever. I imagine we’re a little bit of both.
Yup. That is most definitely Hallmark quality!
Hugs.

It certainly warmed Mimi’s and Pop’s hearts! Especially the eraser!
That is adorable. And wow, your six year old writes well!
Love it! It’s a gift from the heart. I wont ask questions.
It’s a wonderful age!
The Howler, for Mother’s Day last year, gave me a coupon book that promises she will “play outside 10 times” if I give her the coupon.(Like I’m parting with that sentiment EVER.)
Kind of like God. He says, I will never hate you … Then he erases every icky thing, with his own big eraser, and says to us: “Your sins are as far as the east is from the west.”
Amazing, that big ol’ eraser.
Beautiful post. Beautiful blog!
Hallmark is definitely in his future–brought tears to my eyes.
Oh my GOODNESS, I love kids.
